Monica Wishnousky is excited and for good reason. This is Norland Farmers’ Market’s (NFM) inaugural year and as NFM chairperson of the volunteer committee and a participating vendor, she looks forward to welcoming visitors come rain or shine, every Friday until Oct. 7, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ward Memorial Park on Highway 35 in Norland. “The reason we started the NFM is to provide fresh locally grown, prepared and hand-crafted products, plus information about local services that support the community,” Wishnousky said. NFM offers The Community Table – a free space for local community groups to provide information, demonstrations and fun for visitors. Julie Ritchie, NFM committee member said, “We have a covered pavilion for community groups. Some past and upcoming guests include: Land Between Garden, Globus Theatre, Minden Pride, Norland Recreation Centre Volunteer Management Committee, and the Go Vaxx Bus.”
